COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Assumption University field hockey team had four players named to the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Watchlist, announced Thursday afternoon.
NFHCA Watchlist
The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season.
Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.
The Greyhounds were well represented by
Julia Carbone,
Racquel Provost,
Mieke Rentsch, and
Nova Rijks on the NFHCA's list of 42.
Carbone was named to the All-NE10 Second Team after recording seven goals and a career-high eight assists. She was named the NE10 Player of the Week following her two goals and two assists against Molloy.
Provost started all 20 games on the backline for the Hounds, where she earned All-NE10 Third Team honors.
Rentsch brought home three honors following her stellar freshman campaign, as she was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Year, while adding All-NE10 Second Team and All-Rookie Team to her resume. In 20 games, the German product recorded five goals and added eight assists for 18 points. She had multi-goal outings vs Southern Connecticut and Franklin Pierce. Both goals were game winners.
Rijks appeared in 20 games in her second season in Worcester, where she tallied six goals and three assists for 15 points. Her lone game-winning goal came in October at Saint Michael's College, in a 2-1 win for the Hounds.
The Greyhounds will open the 2026 campaign on the road, as they visit West Chester on Friday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m.
