Box Score Lowell, Mass. (September 22) -- The Assumption College women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 final UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon.
The Greyhounds fall to 2-4-1 on the season, and 2-2-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while Lowell improves to 3-3-1 and 2-3-0 in league play.
Junior Allison Bruder (Sandy, Utah/Juan Diego Catholic) made fives saves while taking the loss, and Lowell keeper Jill Carlson made five saves to take the victory.
The Greyhounds fell behind at the 34:19 mark in the first half, and trailed 1-0 heading into the half.
Assumption tied the score when Andrea Bates (Holden, Mass./Wachusett) put away a cross from senior Molly Kessler (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton), knotting the score up at one each with just under 27 minutes left to play.
The River Hawks took the lead back at the 81:19 mark in the game, taking the 2-1 win. The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 26, as the team travels to Adelphi University. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m.
