HOW IT HAPPENED:

-The Hounds took the lead in the 29th minute when reigning NE-10 Rookie of the Week Kallie Villemaire (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) made her way to a perfectly fed corner kick into the front of the goal. The freshman tapped the ball in for the 1-0 advantage, assisted by NE-10 Player of the Week Paige Radomski (Kingston, Mass. / Silver Lake Regional) on the corner.

-Assumption increased the advantage just 1:21 into the second period. Radomski launched another corner kick into the middle and junior Jaclyn Tomasello (Halifax, Mass. / Silver Lake Regional) headed it past New Haven goalie Deandra Nash for the insurance goal.

-New Haven reduced the deficit to just one in the 67th minute, 2-1. With the ball kicked high in the air, the Chargers' Marisa Garcia beat out the Greyhound defense and tapped it past junior Emily Kuzma (East Haven, Conn. / East Haven) in net.

-Villemaire and freshman defender Kiana Rocco (Guilford, Conn. / Sacred Heart Academy) led the Hound offense with three shots apiece. Villemaire registered two on goal.

-Freshman Ania Spina (Wallingford, Conn. / Mark T. Sheehan) also posted two shots on goal to contribute to Assumption's 13 shots on goal on the day.

-Radomski also helped lead the offense, collecting assists on both goals.
