THE BASICS:

- Score: Assumption 4, Saint Michael's 0

- Location: Colchester, Vt.

- The Lead: The Hounds' offense tallied four goals with four different scorers in the second half, while the defense held a shutout to claim third place in the Catholic Cup help at Saint Michael's. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- With no scoring in the first half, Amanda Arnold (Saco, Maine / Thornton Academy) opened up the second half with a goal in 50th minute with a high shot from the left side of the box.

- The scoring continued in the 68th minute with a goal from freshman Sydney Huckabee (Akron, Ohio / Archbishop Hoban), which deflected off a defenseman into the net

- Kallie Villemaire (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) added a goal with a shot from the left side in the 80th minute.

- The final goal was added by Jessica FitzGerald (Uxbridge, Mass. / Uxbridge) in the 86th minute when she netted a goal off of a rebound 

BEHIND THE NUMBERS:

- Ania Spina (Wallingford, Conn. / Mark T. Sheehan) led the Hounds' offense with five shots, while Jessica Fitzgerald added four.

- Villemarie, Kelsey Pietruska (Durham, Conn. / Mercy), and Arnold added three shots a piece. Overall the Hounds took 13 shots against the Purple Knight's goalkeeper Megan LeCours, who tallied nine saves.

- The Hounds took ten corner kicks, while the Purple Knights took two.

- Hound's goalkeeper Emily Kuzma (East Haven, Conn. / East Haven) tallied her first win of the 2016 season with a four saves which lead to a shutout 

- Arnold and Jaclyn Tomasello (Halifax, Mass. / Silver Lake Regional) were named to the Catholic Cup All-Tournament Team for their performances over the weekend
