WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University Football team wrapped up their 2022 campaign with a national ranking, as the Northeast-10 Champions finished the year at No. 23 in the D2Football.com poll.

Assumption (8-3, 6-1 NE10), who averaged 22.1 points per game and defeated their opponents by an average of 7.5 points. Northeast-10 Coach of the Year,
Andy McKenzie's Greyhounds ranked in the top ten nationally in Team Passing Efficiency Defense (3
rd – 91.25), Total Defense (5
th – 237.0), 3
rd Down Defense (5
th – 0.253), First Down Offense (6
th – 152), Rush Defense (8
th – 73.5), and Scoring Defense (8
th – 14.6).
The Greyhounds had two wins over nationally ranked opponents, as they opened the year with a 3-0 win over No. 13 Kutztown University before upending No. 25 University of New Haven 14-13.
Isaiah Huff racked up numerous post-season awards, as the defensive back was named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 First Team, the 2022 New England Football Writers Association's All-New England Team, and a Northeast-10 Conference selection.
Tom MacDonald joined Huff on the All-New England Team and the NE10 First Team
Gabriel Bertolazzo,
Brandon Santell, and
Lorenzo Valencia joined Huff and MacDonald on the NE10 First Team. At the same time,
Tre'Sean Bouie,
Matthew Connolly,
Jael Feliz,
Berrell Neal, and
Quinn Sieger found their way to the Second Team.
Tindell Frick and
Jake McCoy joined Connolly on the All-Rookie Team.
