WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University Athletic Department and Football Program are mourning the tragic loss of student-athlete
Vincent Cavaliere, who passed away early Sunday morning.
Cavaliere, 20, of Bethpage, N.Y., was a two-year member of the Greyhounds' football team and a Dean's List student.

Andy McKenzie shared, "Vincent was a great teammate, competitive football player, and a Dean's List student. He was an all-around great member of the Assumption Community, and we are grateful for the time we spent together. Our football family will keep Vincent's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers as they heal during this difficult time."

Eric Gobiel, added, "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of student athlete
Vincent Cavaliere. By all accounts, Vincent was an incredible teammate, student, and member of our AU community who will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to the Cavaliere family, his teammates, coaches, and friends during these difficult times."
