MANSFIELD, Mass. - Could we see history in Worcester this weekend? The Northeast-10 Conference Swim & Dive coaches seem to think so. In the annual pre-championship poll the league's coaches selected the Adelphi men to win the first title in the pool in school history. Southern Connecticut was chosen for its fourth consecutive win on the women's side.
In conference history, only two teams have won the NE10 swimming and diving championship on the men's and women's sides. For the men, the only winners were SCSU and Bentley, while SCSU and Assumption were the only winners for the women.

Adelphi earned five of seven first-place votes in the men's poll. Defending champion SCSU and Bentley received the other two while deadlocking in a tie for second.
There was a split decision at the top of the women's poll with SCSU and Bentley seeing a fairly even share of first-place selections. Bentley did win a head-to-head matchup in the pool with the Owls this winter.
Felician, competing in the NE10 for the first time this season, was selected fourth in the poll.
