Marina Callahan earns WBCA All-American Honorable Mention Status

WORCESTER, Mass. – Marina Callahan continued to add to his post-season honor as the Assumption University women's basketball forward was named to the 2025 Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division II All-American honorable mention team, as announced Thursday afternoon.

The Burlington, Mass. native picked up the All-Region selection after becoming just the third Greyhound in program history named to the All-NE10 First Team for back-to-back years (Kelly Meredith: 2010-11, 2011-12), Ann McInerney: 1987-88, 1988-89). On top of the First Team selection, she was named to the All-NE10 Defensive Team for the first time. Callahan established new career highs in points per game (13.6), rebounds (8.3), blocks (62), and steals (50). She is the only player in the conference to be ranked in the top ten in scoring (7th), rebounds (5th), blocks (2nd), and steals (9th) while ranking 12th in assists. She finished her career ranked ninth in points (1,307), seventh in rebounds (775), fifth in defensive rebounds (563), fifth in blocked shots (163), and ninth in field goals (482).

Callahan is just the eighth Assumption women's basketball player to be named to the WBCA All-American list, joining teammate Molly Stokes, who earned the honor last season.
