MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Assumption University women's soccer team was voted to finish third in the Northeast 10 Conference women's soccer Coaches' Poll released Thursday afternoon.
Assumption received 28 points for eighth place.
Head coach Chip Warner enters his fourth year with the Greyhounds after a 7-5-6 record in 2024, going 1-4-5 in NE10 action.
The Greyhounds return their lone all-conference selection in
Elle Bristol, while also bringing back seven of their top ten scorers from last season (
Ava Normandin,
Haley Brown,
Natalie Matz,
Rose Connolly,
Shannon Fitzsimmons,
Rachael Geniuch, and Bristol).
Franklin Pierce (78) took the top spot, while Adelphi (76) and Southern New Hampshire (65) represent the top three teams. Bentley (56) was selected fourth, Saint Anselm (45) in fifth, Saint Michael's (42) in sixth, and Southern Connecticut (31) in seventh. American International (15) and Pace (14) round out the poll in ninth and tenth place.
The Greyhounds will open the 2025 campaign on the road, as they will travel to Karrer Field to take on Daemen University on Friday, Sept. 5 at 6:00 pm.
