Surrette and Russell take home NE10 Player of the Week honors

WORCESTER, Mass. – For the third time this season, Jonathan Surrette was named as the Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week, while Jake Russell took home his second Rookie of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Junior | Forward | Woburn, Mass.

Surrette carried his offensive onslaught from the opening puck drop of the season to the final whistle, as he scored two goals and two assists at Westfield State on Thursday evening. He had a hand in all four goals that Assumptions scored. He currently leads all Division II/III in points (24), second in goals (12), and fourth in assists (12), and has only had one game this year in which he did not record a point.

Jake Russell, Assumption
Freshman | Forward | Arlington, Mass.

Russell recorded one goal and added four assists (five total points) to help lead Assumption to a 2-0-1 record in 2026. Against Framingham State on Tuesday, he had one goal and two assists while winning 12-of-19 faceoffs. On Friday evening at MCLA, he had one assist while splitting his 20 draws. Russell capped off the weekend with one more helper and had two blocked shots at Saint Anselm.
