WORCESTER, Mass. – After going 2-0 on the week, including a win over No. Saint Michael's College, the Assumption University men's lacrosse team had a pair of student-athletes named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Team of the Week, as announced by the association on Tuesday afternoon.
Boomer Staunton, Assumption
Sophomore | Midfielder | Bloomfield, Conn.
In two games this week, Staunton racked up eight goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for Assumption. At Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, he scored five goals and added one assist in the 16-7 win in Rindge. Against No. 20 Saint Michael's, he tallied three goals and one assist in the 11-10 thriller. He scored both the game-tying goal and the game-winning goal for the Greyhounds.
Declan Turner, Assumption

Turner had a strong week on the defensive end for Assumption, as the Greyhounds went 2-0. Against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, he had one caused turnover and two ground balls in the 16-7 win over the Ravens, while also headlining a defense that allowed just two goals in the second half. Turner capped off the week with four caused turnovers and three ground balls in the Hounds' 11-10 win over No. 20 Saint Michael's.
