PHILADELPHIA, Pa.– The Assumption University women's soccer team's season opener at Holy Family University has been suspended due to lightning in the Philadelphia area after 23:10 of game time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Holy Family generated the first scoring opportunity of the afternoon, as Kenna Rozanski fired a shot wide right in the eighth minute following an early Tigers corner kick. The Tigers continued to apply pressure, earning their second corner in the 11th minute before Rozanski sent another attempt wide left just over a minute later. Assumption recorded its first shot of the season in the 15th minute, as
Ava Normandin's attempt went wide left. The Greyhounds and Tigers remained scoreless through the opening 23-plus minutes at Tiger Field, before being suspended due to lightning.
