WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University head women's ice hockey coach Joe Grossman has announced the Greyhounds' 2026-27 schedule, a 32-game slate featuring 28 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) contests and four non-conference matchups as Assumption looks to build on last season's historic NEWHA Semifinal appearance. 
 
The Greyhounds open the season with a two-game home series against NEWHA foe Saint Michael's on Sept. 25-26 before stepping out of conference play to visit Holy Cross on Oct. 1. Assumption then returns to Worcester Ice Center to host Sacred Heart for a pair of conference games before beginning a stretch that includes home-and-home series throughout the NEWHA schedule. 
 
The non-conference slate continues at the end of October with a weekend series at Atlantic Hockey America member Mercyhurst before the Greyhounds travel to Brown on Nov. 29. Assumption closes its non-conference schedule by welcoming Atlantic Hockey America foe Robert Morris to Worcester for a two-game series on Dec. 4-5. The four non-conference opponents provide a strong regional test against programs from ECAC Hockey and Atlantic Hockey America before the stretch run of conference play. 
 
Conference action features home-and-home series against every NEWHA opponent, including Franklin Pierce, LIU, Post, Sacred Heart, Saint Anselm, Saint Michael's, and Stonehill. Key home weekends include series against Franklin Pierce in November and February, Stonehill in November, LIU in January, and Post in January as the Greyhounds battle for postseason positioning. 
 
Following the holiday break, Assumption resumes conference play in January before wrapping up the regular season with a road series at Saint Michael's on Feb. 19-20. The NEWHA Championship is scheduled for Feb. 26-28, with the conference champion earning the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Championship. 
 
Coming off a 19-win campaign and the program's first NEWHA Semifinal appearance, the Greyhounds will look to continue their upward trajectory during the 2026-27 season as they compete for a conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
