Alaina Whitesell and
Megan Tremblay earned New England Women's Hockey Alliance Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Alaina Whitesell, Assumption
Sophomore | Forward | Canonsburg, Pa.
Whitesell played a major role in Assumption's weekend sweep of Saint Michael's, scoring the game-winning goal Friday in the 2-1 victory. The sophomore capped the weekend with a goal and an assist in the 6-2 triumph over the Purple Knights. Overall, she finished the weekend with two goals and an assist while posting a +3 rating. With two goals on the season, Whitesell is currently tied with teammate
Annie Forker for the league lead.

Tremblay was all over the ice for the Greyhounds during their season-opening sweep of Saint Michael's. She finished the weekend with a +2 rating and one blocked shot while recording a goal and an assist.
