Worcester, Mass. (April 28) -- The Assumption College men's lacrosse team celebrated senior day, and honored nine players who will be graduating prior to their game against Merrimack College on Saturday afternoon.

Seniors Chris Noyes (Tewksbury, Mass./Central Catholic), John Mitchell (Southington, Conn./Southington), Mike McLellan (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme), John Ryan (Greenville, R.I./LaSalle Academy), Tom Guido (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor), Tim Roy (Avon, Conn./Avon), John Landsvik (Arlington, Mass./Arlington), Alejandro Ruiz (Dover, N.J./Seton Hall Prep), and Gordon Champlin (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) were all honored prior to the start of the game.

Seniors Ruiz, Guido, and Noyes each scored goals in the 20-5 loss for Assumption, while Garrett Smith (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa) notched his 27th goal of the season.

Assumption closes the season at 3-11 overall and 2-8 in the Northeast-10 Conference.
