GAME ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams were held scoreless through seven innings to force the extra inning play. With a runner on second, Seton Hill advanced the runner to third on a sacrifice bunt and then scored off a double from Christiana Skrabak. The Hound defense held them to one run as Ashley Perillo grounded out to third baseman Nicole Duplease (Leominster, Mass. / Leominster) to end the inning.
- Assumption tied the game 1-1 in similar fashion as they used a sacrifice bunt from Hayley Drakoulakos (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell High School) to advance Julia Mazzeo (Milford, N.H./Milford) to third. Junior Victoria Petrie (Marlborough, Mass. / Marlborough) drove her in with a single to left field to force the ninth inning.
- In the top of the ninth, freshman Mia Nowicki (Chelsea, Mass. / St. Marys Lynn) struck out A. Harvey with a runner on third to keep the score tied. In the bottom of the inning, Kayla Peabody (Mendon, Mass. / Nipmuc Regional High School) bunted to advance Brooke Murphy (Salem, N.H. / Salem High School) to third. Then Murphy stole home on a wild pitch to provide the walk-off win for the Hounds.

- Assumption maintained the lead and added a run in the fourth inning as freshman outfielder Abigail Duggan (West Roxbury, Mass. / Mount Alvernia High School) hit a single to left field to drive in Petrie who doubled earlier in the inning.
- University of Mary answered in the bottom of the inning as Colleen Crutchfield hit a two-run dinger to close the gap to 3-2.
