Kayla McGaffigan and
Justina Valentini represented the Assumption University women's ice hockey team on the New England Women's Hockey Alliance weekly awards, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Kayla McGaffigan, Assumption
Junior | Forward | South Dennis, Mass.
The junior posted a five-point week as the Greyhounds secured a weekend sweep against Saint Michael's, earning a 6-1 victory on Friday before following that up with a 5-0 shutout win on Saturday, both on the road. The South Dennis, Mass. native posted three assists on Friday before adding two goals on Saturday to finish with five points and a plus-four on-ice rating for the weekend.
NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week
Justina Valentini, Assumption
Junior | Defense | Minnetonka, Minn.
The junior defender helped Assumption's offensive output in its weekend sweep, posting one goal and two assists while finishing plus-two following the pair of wins. The Minnetonka, Minn. native posted an assist while being a +1 on Friday, but was also on the ice for two of the three power-play goals by the Greyhounds. She capped off the weekend with a goal and an assist in the Hounds' 5-0 shutout, tallying a power play goal.
