WORCESTER, Mass. – For the first time since April 15, 2019, the Assumption University men's lacrosse team has appeared in the national rankings. The Greyhounds cracked the rankings at No. 20 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches poll on Monday afternoon.

The Greyhounds (9-2, 4-2 NE10) are in the national poll for the first time since the April 15, 2019 poll, and just the second time in program history, where they were ranked No. 19. Assumption is riding a two-game winning streak and has won four of the last five. The Hounds are ranked in the top 25 in scoring defense (2

Freshman
Ben McHugh leads the Greyhounds offensively with 29 goals and 36 points, while
Brady McNulty and
Ryan Bogar have combined in their graduate student year for 39 goals, 23 assists, and 62 points. Defensively, the trio of
Trent Sargent,
Declan Turner, and
Colby Leighton combine for 50 caused turnovers and 68 ground balls, while
Shane Corcoran has been one of the best netminders in the country in his first year in Worcester. In 11 games, he supports a 6.02 goals-against average and a 0.669 save percentage, and his 119 saves rank him first in the Northeast-10 Conference.
Men's Lacrosse is back in action on Friday, as they head down to Long Island to take on the reigning national champions, Adelphi University, at 6:00 pm.
