WINTHROP, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team was voted to finish sixth in the New England Women's Hockey Alliance Coaches' Poll released Wednesday afternoon.
Assumption received 22 points in the poll.

Joe Grossman enters his second year with the Greyhounds after a 10-23-3 record in 2024, going 10-16-2 in NEWHA action.
The Greyhounds return four of their five leading scorers and their top netminder from last season:
Rachel Agerter,
Heather Ajakie,
Alexa Hanrahan,
Ava McGaffigan, and
Jadyn Weiser.
Sacred Heart (47) was picked to win the league, while LIU (44) and Stonehill (37) round out the top three. Franklin Pierce (27) was picked fourth, and Saint Anselm (23) was fifth. Post (16) and Saint Michael's (8) round out the poll in seventh and eighth.
The Greyhounds will open the 2025-26 campaign on the road, as they will travel to Moon Township, Pa., they take on Robert Morris University on Friday, September 26 at 7:00 pm.
