WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team dropped one spot in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches poll on Monday afternoon.

The Greyhounds (9-4, 4-4 NE10) fell back one spot in the national rankings after falling to No. 1 Adelphi. The Hounds are ranked in the top 25 in clearing percentage (13

th – 23.00), scoring offense (14

th – 299), caused turnovers per game (16
th – 11.46), scoring margin (17
th – 5.31), saves (19
th – 172), assists per game (20
th – 8.15), assists (21

st- 17.31), saves per game (23
rd – 13.23), and scoring defense (23
rd – 9.54).
Sophomore
Boomer Staunton leads the Greyhounds offensively with 45 goals, while
Patrik McGrath supplies a balanced attack with 32 goals and 25 assists for 57 points.
Ben McHugh (29),
Max Lowenberg (17),
Patrick Johnston (13),
Nolan Johnson (12), and
Brian Shortt (12) all add secondary scoring.
Defensively, the trio of
Trent Sargent,
Declan Turner, and
Kevin Chrabascz combine for 60 caused turnovers and 84 ground balls, while
Shane Corcoran has been one of the best netminders in the country once again. In 13 games, he supports a 9.56 goals-against average and a 0.595 save percentage, and his 154 saves rank him second in the Northeast 10 Conference.
Men's Lacrosse closes out the regular season on Tuesday, April 14
th, as they take on Bentley at 7:00 pm in Waltham, Mass.
