Boomer Staunton headlines seven All-NE10 selections for Men's Lacrosse

4/27/2026 3:29:00 PM

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Assumption University men's lacrosse team had seven players recognized on the Northeast 10 all-conference lists, headlined by Boomer Staunton as the Offensive Player of the Year, as announced Monday morning.

Staunton was named to the All-NE10 First Team, while Ben McHugh, Trent Sargent, and Shane Corcoran were selected to the All-NE10 Second Team. Patrik McGrath was picked to the third team, while Kevin Chrabascz and Patrick Johnston found their way onto the All-Rookie Team.

Boomer Staunton posted one of the best single games in the country this season when he found the cage 10 times in 60 minutes.  He rode that into a 50-goal, 10-assist season for Assumption, setting the program's single-season goals record.  For his efforts, Staunton was named NE10 Offensive Player of the Year.  Staunton is the first Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, or Defensive Player of the Year in Assumption men's lacrosse history.

McHugh followed up his stellar freshman campaign with another strong offensive year, as he tallied 32 goals and eight assists for 40 points. He netted the game-winning goal in the opening minute of overtime at Bentley to cap off the regular season. Sargent picked up his second all-conference honor after being named to the third team last season. He was the top defender for the Greyhounds, where he established new career-highs in both groundballs (44) and caused turnovers (28).

The reigning NE10 Rookie of the Year, Shane Corcoran, had another solid season between the pipes for Assumption, as he posted a 9.59 goals against average and a .594 save percentage. He added 183 saves, which ranked second in the conference, and is now second in career wins (20) in program history.

McGrath was named to the All-NE10 Third team for the second time in his career, as he appeared in 15 games, where he set new career-highs in goals (35), assists (28), and points (63).
