NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Assumption University women's soccer team was voted to finish in 8
thplace according to the Northeast 10 coaches' poll, announced Thursday afternoon.
Franklin Pierce received 77 points and seven first-place votes to lead all programs in the poll, which is voted on by league head coaches. Saint Anselm, the reigning NE10 champion, placed second with 71 points, while Adelphi was third with 62 points and Saint Michael's was fourth with 59 points. All three programs received one first-place vote each.
SNHU finished fifth in the poll, followed by Bentley, Pace, Assumption, AIC and SCSU, respectively.
Assumption returns two of their three All-NE10 selections, headlined by NE10 Rookie of the Year,
Elizabeth Schoeneberger. Schoeneberger is the fifth Greyhound to be named the Northeast 10 Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year, and the first since Kallie Villemaire won it in 2015. She earned All-NE10 Second Team and All-Rookie team honors as she led the team and all freshmen in the conference with seven goals, four assists, 18 points, and three game-winning goals. Schoeneberger burst onto the scene as she recorded three goals and added one assist in the first three games of the season, and finished the year with four games of multiple points in the contest.
Lilina Shiers, who joined Schoeneberger on the All-Rookie Team, started in all 15 games for Assumption, where she scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. She netted the game-winning goal against Pace University on October 11
th.
The 2026 NE10 season opens on Thursday, August 27th, with the Greyhounds on the road to take on Holy Family University at 3:00 pm. All home games and conference games can be watched this season on
