WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University field hockey team dropped one spot in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Coaches Poll, as the Greyhounds sit in eighth. The organization announced this on Tuesday morning.

The Greyhounds (0-2, 0-0 NE10) dropped both games on their opening weekend, as they fell to No. 5 West Chester (4-1), before being edged out by No. 4 East Stroudsburg (2-1, OT).
Marta Brzoska scored both goals for the Hounds, with
Elly Schofer picking up the lone assist. Head Coach
Annie Lahey split time in the cage over the weekend, with
Carolyn Durand recording eight saves at West Chester and
Abbie Derosier logging seven in overtime against the Warriors.
Assumption will have their season opener on Friday, September 11
th at 2:00 pm, as they take on Millersville University before hosting No. 2 Kutztown University on Sunday, September 13
th at 12:00 pm.
