WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University senior outfielder Cody Smith was named to the 2024 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-East Region Team, announced Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Smith had a breakout junior campaign and was honored with an All-NE10 Second Team selection. He established new career highs in batting average (.300), hits (54), doubles (11), homeruns (7), RBI (32), and on-base percentage (.432). 
 
Assumption will begin its season in Florida on Friday, February 14th, when it will take on Rollins College.
