Leonardtown, Md. -- On Thursday afternoon, the Assumption men's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 overall on the season with a 14-3 setback to Wheeling Jesuit. The game was played at a neutral site in Maryland and ended a two-game road trip for the Hounds to open the season.

After trailing 4-0 at halftime, Assumption put together a rally pulled to within a 4-2 margin in the third quarter. From that point on though, it was all Wheeling Jesuit as the Cardinals closed the game on a 10-1 run to account for the 14-3 final. Statistics for the game are not available at this time, but will be updated as soon as possible.

Assumption is back in action on Wednesday, March 14th as the Hounds host the College of St. Rose for a 7 p.m. start at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
