During her athletic career at Assumption, Gibson was a standout basketball player for Head Coach Kerry Phayre and the Greyhounds' program. In her freshman season of 2009-10, Gibson was awarded the Northeast-10 Freshman/Rookie of the Year and a spot on the All-Rookie Team. The following season, she was awarded the Andrew Laska "Athlete of the Year" Award. In 2011-12 Gibson earned a spot on the Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team. Her senior year was her most emphatic as a Greyhound as she helped lead them to a Northeast-10 Championship appearance. She was named to the Northeast-10 All-Championship Team and the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team. 
 
In terms of her statistics, it's some of the most impressive in Hounds basketball history. She is second all-time in program history with 1,627 points. Gibson has the fifth most points scored in a season with 533 points which was done in the 2012-13 season. She has the tenth-highest single-season scoring average with 17.8 points per game. She ranks sixth in career scoring average (14.3ppg), second in career field goals made (583), fourth in career three-point field goals made (176), ninth in career games played (114), tenth in career steals (214), and 12th in career minutes (3,007). Lastly, she had four career 30-point games. She led the team to 77 wins as well as the 2012-13 Northeast-10 Conference Championship game while also reaching the NCAA Regionals twice.
