Haney, a standout swimmer for Assumption from Rialto, California, made her mark in multiple events throughout her four years. As a freshman, Haney was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year and earned the Assumption Female Freshman Athlete of the Year award. During her rookie campaign, she owned the individual school records in the 100 freestyle (54.65), the 200 freestyle (1:56.66), the 1000 freestyle (10:40.00), the 1650 freestyle (18:26.97), and the 500 freestyle (5:04.83), which was first place in the Northeast-10 Championship. In her sophomore season, Haney finished second at the NE10 Championships in the 400 IM (4:36.68) and third in the 200 fly (2:08.87).
 
Haney earned the Andrew Laska "Athlete of the Year" Award following her junior year, where she won the Northeast-10 Championship in the 500 freestyle (5:06.44) and the 200 fly (2:06.25). As a senior, Haney won the 200 fly (2:06.87), 400 IM (4:32.89), and the 500 free (5:07.59) at the conference championships and was rewarded with her second consecutive Andrew Laska "Athlete of the Year" Award while also winning the Steve "Merc" Morris '72 Memorial Award as a Top Four-Year Assumption College Student-Athlete.
 
Haney becomes the first Assumption swimmer to be enshrined in the University's Athletic Hall of Fame.
