Wisniewski is a 1969 graduate of Assumption. He was a four-year member and left-handed pitcher on the Assumption baseball team. Wisniewski holds the record for the highest winning percentage, at 78.9% with a 15-4 career record on the mound for the Hounds. He earned three 1-0 victories in his career. There are just 12 total 1-0 victories in program history. He posted the 1-0 win over Stonehill in 1967, in five innings. He took the victory over Suffolk in seven innings in 1968 and over Stonehill, again, in 1969 in seven innings. Wisniewski was the first baseball student-athlete to win the MVP award as a junior and senior.
