Phipps, a 2000 graduate, played on two of the most successful Assumption softball teams in program history (1999 and 2000), including the winningest season (38 wins in 2000), two Northeast-10 Conference Championship titles (1998 and 2000), and an ECAC Championship. Both the 1998 and 2000 teams advanced to the NCAA playoffs. The team also won the ECAC tournament in 1999. Phipps was named an NCAA DII Second Team All-American as well as an NE10 All-Star in 1999 and 2000. She was the NCAA DII National Batting Champion in 1999. Phipps transferred to Assumption as a junior and set many records in her two seasons. She currently holds the Assumption softball records in Career Batting Average (.513) and Career Slugging Percentage (.788).
