Santucci is a 1993 graduate of Assumption and was a standout on the baseball team when he transferred from Northeastern University as a sophomore. Santucci earned an All-American title and was named the NE10 Player of the Year as a senior. He was named to the All-New England Team all three seasons with the Greyhounds. He is ranked second in career batting average (.432) and career slugging percentage (.711). He is tied for the most hits in a game with six and ranks second in runs in a season with 57 as a senior. Santucci also holds the Assumption baseball record for stolen bases in a season with 31. In 1993 Santucci was given the opportunity to continue his baseball career when he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th rounds.
