Ray Fagnant ’87, a standout catcher for the baseball team, posted a career batting average near .320 and a .995 fielding percentage during his senior season. Known for his leadership and game-calling ability, he was named to the All-NE10 First Team in 1986 and 1987, after earning All-NE10 Second Team honors in 1985. Fagnant transitioned into a successful post-college career as a longtime Major League Baseball scout. For over 25 years, he has been instrumental in evaluating and signing numerous MLB prospects within the Boston Red Sox organization, serving as a trusted voice in player development.
